well the kings ended the season with a losing record (22-44), and another chance to get the #1 pick. They can get no worse than the 8th pick.

Add caption

  • Isaiah Thomas -The last pick in the 2011 has turned out to be the steal of the draft. He is a PG. The kings haven't had a PG in a long time. He made the team fun to watch.
  • Jimmer has shown flashes of being good. Like he was at BYU. He needs to work on the D in the off-season.
  • Tyler Honeycutt still an unknown he didn't play much
  • Tyreke Evans- Played 3 different positions. (the sf, the 1 and the 2) He seemed to play better at the 2... needs to work on his jump-shot in the off-season.
  • Marcus Thornton- the kings didn't win many games without him....They need him to play to give them a chance to win
  • John Salmons- when he was coming off the bench he was playing better. then he got injured.
  • Francisco Garcia-he is still a king?! I think he is going to be a king forever
  • Jason Thompson-They need to bring Thompson back.
  • Donte Greene- I would like to see Donte back in Sacramento.
  • Chuck Hayes- The kings big FA.
  • Demarcus Cousins- He had a solid 2nd year in the NBA..
  • Hassan Whiteside-could be a good blocker
  • The coach Keith Smart-This team kept fighting. Even when it was obvious they were out of the playoff race.

The power of a Tweet....

With the lock-out going on there were exhibition games being played in other cities for the fans, so i figured why not here? Why not us? We are the best fans in the NBA. We fought to keep our team here.

And Donte Greene apparently felt the same way that Sac-town deserves an exhibition game. because Next thing you know he is tweeting players asking them to play in the game. The Goon Squad Classic, and now it has a name.

The players in the game include:

I am just amazed that one simple tweet managed to do all of this.

The roster for the Goon Squad classic game was
on team black was Donte Greene, Jason Thompson, Spencer Hawes and Jimmer

The purple team had Tyreke Evans, Demarcus Cousins, Isiah Thomas, Matt Barnes, and Hassan Whiteside
(John Wall was in attendance, but didn't play)

Donte Greene surprised the 2 rookies with a dance off
Some things I noticed from that game are that Tyreke shot looks good. and the fans already love Jimmer. (whenever he had the ball they would scream shoot it)

There wasn't much if any defense played, but it was a basketball game that we wouldn't have seen if it wasn't for Donte...This game did feature a lot of "ohhhs" from the crowd after a good dunk, alley oops or block..In the end the Black team won. 167-164.

New York Yankees win the A-L East

The New York Yankees just beat the Rays on
september 21, 2011, in a two game double header. They clinched playoff birth with the first win in the double header then won the A-L east after jorge posoda(go head rbi in the 8th in a 2-2 game) played the hero roll in giving the yankees the win in the night game. The Yankees now have 17 division championship with 27 world series. Cc Sabatheia pitched a great game only giving up two runs going deep into the game. Robinson Cano was the first to start things off for the yankees by hitting a home run (27) off Rays  rookie pitcher _________ to put the Yankees on the board with 1-0 lead, after that their was no looking back.

The Sacramento kings

Well the Sacramento kings look to be an exciting team next season. That is if there is a season at all.

I like the addition of Hickson and Salmons and adding Jimmer Honeycut and Thomas through the draft. I really can't wait to see Thornton,Evans and Jimmer play together should be fun...

And i think that if Evans is 100% then that is one less thing to worry about...Just hoping that he doesn't get injured during the season... And Thornton the Hornets were dumb for letting him go. I knew he would be good, but not that good. I saw him play well when that team was without Chris Paul.

And Jimmer what is not to like about him..He can make crazy shots, and makes them look easy.

oh and for the first time in years the kings would finally start the season at home.

well the Sacramento Kings are staying in the capitol city for at least one more year.
I am happy that my team still remains in town.. Now we have to get an arena built, so that we don't have to lose our team.

Joe Maloof said that they are going to spend money to bring in a couple top free agents, and we also have a high draft pick

Without the mayor (Kevin Johnson) working to keep the team here we would have lost the team already. He went to new York, and made a very convincing pitch to keep the kings in sac-town.
And without all the fans fighting to keep their team. I believe that we would have already lost our team #HereWePurple #HereWeSit #HereWeStay

HERE WE STAY!!

Well it seems that the Sacramento kings are going to be staying in Sacramento for at least one more season. I am crossing my fingers that we can get an arena plan to keep them here.....It isn't official yet though, but it looks very promising.
The Kings fans have been showing their civic pride for their team. There Was #HereWePurple #HereWeGreet ,#HereWeStay, #HereWeSit and #HereWeBuild. The fans have continued to show their love and support for the team even while facing uncertainties of where the team will play next season. I still can't believe how much good news we have got. There is so much optimism now in Sacramento. =]

It seemed that our team was going to Anaheim, and there wasn't much we could do about it, but our mayor Kevin Johnson put up a good fight to help us keep the kings. And we had to keep believing that they would stay.

The last game of the season was against the Lakers. It was a sold out game. Granted some people were Laker fans, but the mood for the kings fans was somber, and just disappointed in the turn of events.

That game. The laker game wasn't just a game not for the fans in attendance.Or for the City of Sacramento in general. I am sure that the coaches and Grant and Jerry noticed it as well ....That game was so much more than just a basketball game. You saw people fight for their team, and they didn't want to leave. The future was so uncertain they weren't sure if the kings would be here next season or not. You watched Grant and Jerry get teary on the "Final Sign off" and then they played Tesla's love song...and still the fans stayed and chanted.
they stayed until they were asked to leave.

I have heard some kings players former and current express frustration about the possibility of moving to Anaheim. See the fans love the team, and the team loves the fans we just need to get them a good arena.

OK, now I will talk about the play I think the where playing better towards the end of the season, and better on the road then at home. This team has a very bright future with Tyreke, Demarcus and Marcus. With a good FA signing and another good draft pick this team will be fun to watch for a long time.
The team won one game short of there win total last year, but they were playing better down the stretch though.
